HOT day.

It was so hot out today. Everything outside looked miserable. The dogs were panting, the chickens where panting and so were the turkeys. There was no place to go to cool down, it was even ridiculously hot in the house. I decide to throw the dogs in the stock tank! Well, if the dogs get wet, I end up wet. Star wasn't to sure about it, Chance just got wound up........sprinting back and forth a million miles an hour, and Rayne LOVED it. She stood in the water, up to her ears splashing and jumping around. Maybe I will hook up the sprinkler for them tomorrow!!

Hi, you wrote a comment on my blog on backyard chickens and thought I would follow through by looking at your site. I just lost my dog and need to find another to keep us company and also to help guard the chickens. Already a guinea hen has lost her clutch of eggs, she nested outside the fence before we realised she had a nest so we just let her go. Yesterday she got off the nest two weeks early, I checked and all the eggs were eaten. I assume by your image on the front of you website you are somewhere out west, quite a bit farther than I wanted to travel. But I was hoping you could tell me how your boarder collie was with the chickens, we have a rescue nearby and have sent in an application. There are so many dogs in so many rescues and shelters, this decidion is going to be hard. Before this, they just landed here with us. Thanks. Gracierooster
