First, we want to thank all of our valued customers. Without you Our LittleBit Ranch would just be a bunch or puppies and chickens running around without a purpose! I suppose with the way chicken math works we could be considered hoarders!!!
In 2020, we started offering chicks as a "random assortment". This has actually proven very helpful for not only us but most of our customers seem to like it as well. We have decided to continue with this method going forward however, if there are breeds listed for the hatch date that you are interested in that you really want or that you don't want, please let us know in the comments when filling out the order form. We will do our best to accommodate but can't make any promises!
If there is a specific breed and you want ONLY that breed there is no fee if you are purchasing the chicks up to 1 week of age however we will charge an additional $1.00 per chick for the 4-5 week old chicks and an additional $2.00 per chick for the 8-10 week old chicks. This is because we will need to put those chicks in a separate pen, plus a few extra, to be sure that we have the quantity available, that you ordered.

At this age, the chicks are still quite delicate and require consistent heat, NO drafts and minimal handling.
We do require a minimum purchase of 3 chicks at this age. This is to insure they have adequate heat to survive the trip from our ranch to their new home. **Pickup only, delivery not available on this item |
At this age, the chicks are starting to feather out and are typically ready to go outdoors without any supplemental heat (depending on the weather) as long as they are brought inside at night.
As long as they have adequate shelter and a fairly consistent temperature, they should not require supplemental heat. During the early spring, supplemental head is advised. |
At this age, the chicks are fully feathers and have been living outdoors without ANY supplemental heat.
We have found that this is the best option if you don't want to mess with brooders and supplemental heat. |
