The Black Sex Link is a cross between a Rhone Island Red and a Barred Rock. They should start laying around 5-7 months of age. They are a very good producer of medium to large brown eggs. "250+ eggs per year".They are a very rugged, dual purpose bird. Hens weigh between 7 and 8 lbs.
